A Trip to the Big D...

When Grayson was about 3 weeks old, I was about to go stir crazy having hardly been out of the house. When Allison and Brandon called and asked us to come to Dallas and stay the night with them we jumped at the invitation. Since this was such a last minute plan and we hadn't taken Grayson anywhere for more than a couple of hours it was quite an experience for us to try to pack everything for our first overnight trip. When we bought my midsize SUV a little over a year ago we thought it would be plenty big for when we had kids...we are second guessing ourselves now! We did manage to get there with everything we needed, but I think by the time we left we were down to one diaper! And we thought we took WAY too many!!! We went to dinner with Brandon's family at Buca di Beppo and had lots of good food. Allison insisted that night (she didn't have to twist our arms too hard!) that she would wake up with Grayson and let us sleep all night. It was wonderful and we definitley owe her! She is such a good sister and aunt! The next day we went to eat at Chuy's and got cupcakes at Sprinkles(Justin's favorite!) The weekend was just what we needed and we felt so refreshed when we got home! Not to mention, Grayson got lots of attention from everyone!

It took all 4 of us about 20 minutes to get the Pack 'n Play put together...we're really hoping this gets easier with practice! We felt like complete idiots!

Yes, that is a Grate Dane who's head is bigger than Grayson's body! Boone was fascinated by Grayson and was so gentle with him. Where is Bing? Well, he wouldn't get close enough for us to get a picture and was very offended that Allison was holding someone besides him. He's in for a rude awakening in a few months!
